生きているような、その瞬間を
私は「光の呼吸色」と呼んでいます。

透け感のある布は、光を通すことで色を重ね、
さまざまな表情を見せます。

朝の光、夕暮れの光、夜の照明。
飾る場所や時間、季節によって色の見え方が変化し、
その時だけの景色が生まれます。

【ポジャギ製作にあたっての想い】

今回のポジャギに使っている布は、私自身が織ったものではありません。

韓国の伝統工芸であるポジャギに使われてきたモシやオクサは、手織りの布です。

どこかの知らない誰かが織った手織布も、私にとってはとても愛おしいもの。

その誰かの想いをのせた布の時間を感じながら、
一枚一枚を選び、組み合わせ、最後まで手縫いで仕立てること。

そして新しい形へとつないでいくこと。

それもまた、私にとってポジャギをつくる大切な意味のひとつです。

ショールやポーチなど、
これまで暮らしの中で使うものを中心につくってきました。

これからはその枠を越えて、
手仕事を通して、アートへの挑戦を続けていきたいと思っています。


A *bojagi* piece crafted entirely by hand,
assembling individually hand-dyed fabric panels.

When fabric, light, and color meet,
the cloth begins to breathe quietly.

It inhales color and exhales light.
I call that moment—where it feels truly alive—
"The Breathing Color of Light."

The sheer fabric allows light to pass through,
layering colors and revealing a variety of expressions.

Morning light, twilight, or evening illumination—
the colors shift depending on the location, time, and season,
creating a unique scene that exists only in that moment.

【Thoughts on Creating *Bojagi*】

The fabric used in this *bojagi* was not woven by me personally.

*Moshi* and *oksa*—fabrics traditionally used in Korean *bojagi*—are hand-woven textiles.

To me, these hand-woven fabrics—crafted by someone unknown—are deeply cherished.

I select and combine each piece one by one,
sewing the entire work by hand,
all while feeling the history and the sentiments woven into the cloth by its original maker.

Connecting that past to a new form—

that, too, is a vital part of the meaning I find in creating *bojagi*.

Until now, I have focused on creating practical items for daily life,
such as shawls and pouches.

Moving forward, I hope to step beyond those boundaries
and continue exploring the realm of art through my handiwork.
