手染めした布を一枚一枚組み合わせ、
すべて手縫いで仕立てたポジャギ。

布と光、色が出会うとき、
布は静かに呼吸を始める。

色を吸い、光を吐き出す。
生きているような、その瞬間を
私は「光の呼吸色」と呼んでいます。

透け感のある布は、光を通すことで色を重ね、
さまざまな表情を見せます。

朝の光、夕暮れの光、夜の照明。
飾る場所や時間、季節によって色の見え方が変化し、
その時だけの景色が生まれます。

壁や窓辺など、お好きな場所で、
光とともに移ろう布の表情をお楽しみください。

発送の際は、Rocca特製手染めのハンカチに包みお届けします。

【ポジャギ製作にあたっての想い】

今回のポジャギに使っている布は、私自身が織ったものではありません。

韓国の伝統工芸であるポジャギに使われてきたモシやオクサは、手織りの布です。

どこかの知らない誰かが織った手織布も、私にとってはとても愛おしいもの。

その誰かの想いをのせた布の時間を感じながら、
一枚一枚を選び、組み合わせ、最後まで手縫いで仕立てること。

そして新しい形へとつないでいくこと。

それもまた、私にとってポジャギをつくる大切な意味のひとつです。

ショールやポーチなど、
これまで暮らしの中で使うものを中心につくってきました。

これからはその枠を越えて、
手仕事を通して、アートへの挑戦を続けていきたいと思っています。


A Pojagi piece, created by combining individually hand-dyed fabric panels and carefully finishing every stitch by hand.

When fabric, light, and color come together,
the cloth quietly begins to breathe.

It absorbs color and releases light.
I call this living, ever-changing moment
“The Breathing Colors of Light.”

The sheer fabric allows light to pass through, layering colors and revealing a variety of expressions.

Morning light, the glow of twilight, and evening illumination—
the appearance of the colors changes depending on where the piece is displayed, the time of day, and the season, creating a scene that exists only in that particular moment.

Whether displayed on a wall or by a window,
please enjoy the changing expressions of the fabric as it gently moves through the light.

Your piece will be carefully wrapped in a special hand-dyed handkerchief made by Rocca before delivery.

Thoughts Behind Creating This Pojagi

The fabrics used in this Pojagi were not woven by me.

Mosi and Oksa, traditional hand-woven fabrics that have long been used in Korean Pojagi and other traditional crafts, were woven by the hands of someone, somewhere.

Even when I do not know who wove them, these hand-woven fabrics feel deeply precious to me.

I imagine the time and the thoughts held within each piece of cloth as I carefully select and combine them, then continue stitching by hand until the work is complete.

To connect these fabrics to a new form and give them another life.

This, too, is one of the important meanings that Pojagi holds for me.

Until now, I have mainly created pieces for everyday life, such as shawls and pouches.

From here, I hope to move beyond those boundaries and continue challenging myself to explore art through the work of my hands.
